Michael Bonakdar, an artist of vision and invention, was privileged to grow up in and to be influenced by an international world. Stemming from his lineage in the Middle-Eastern ancient world, Michael’s palette often mirrors the rich colors of Persian rugs. Michael’s style is most often abstract and is best described as Organic Cubism. Educated in both art and architecture, and inspired by symbols, math, and history; Michael’s creations often describe his created “Worlds” that are now archived in his art collections. Michael believes that art must reflect Freedom of the Mind. Thus, when Michael begins a painting, rather than forcing an image, he allows that image to emerge naturally. Michael methodically applies highly detailed and blended layers of paint to his original creations until color, motion, and organic shapes merge with 3-dimensional objects. Intricate paint brush strokes create subliminal form and tell futuristic stories with a dream-like quality. Influenced by his training in martial arts, many of Michael’s paintings reflect the power of the “Saving Warrior Within.” Ironically, when looking at the Art of Bonakdar, one catches a glimpse of Michael’s “Artistic Warrior Within.” Michael’s calm persona contrasts with his explosively alive and eccentric paintings. Michael was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of his time living and studying aboard until his family settled in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Michael and his family recently moved to New York and is planning to continue to seek opportunities to display his art professionally in museums, galleries, and in private events. Many of Michael’s work have been purchased by private collectors, developers, and designers. Michael Bonakdar's work has been displayed in Architectural Digest and other publication, also featured in The Las Vegas Parade of Homes inside the Designer Show Case Home “The Falls.”  Michael’s plans to display his art nationally and internationally. Reflecting Michael’s artistic philosophy, “Free Your Mind With Art,” he will continue to display his virtuosity on canvas around the world in the coming years. In addition, Michael will continue to work on raising funds for local charities and will work with local and international artists while mentoring and guiding them professionally.  For further information about the Art of Bondakar, upcoming events, and gallery locations, please visit his website at www.artofbonakdar.com.
